Niacin question

My Walmart carries the Nature's Way 100mg Niacin tablets. Can I crush the tablet up and sprinkle it on my ducklings' food instead of putting it in their water?

I would crush ot up as much as possible, I think the best is on their water because they are drinking ALL the time! And they might not eat the niacin if it in food.

I went to the health food store and bought a bag of brewers yeast. cost me 13 $ but looks like it will last a while. I just mix it in with their food once a day. Approx a table spoon. it has worked wonders for my little pekin who was star gazing at 1 week old and now is no different from the other 3.

A bag of nutritional yeast, animal grade, found at a feed store, is least expensive, and works great.

I sprinkle it over their feed, they eat it all up since in tastes good.

I bought a Kilo of pure Niacin from a feed store near Wallenstein Ontario.
Cost about $15.
It will last my lifetime.
Just add to their drinking water.
Might not have been necessary because they also sold waterfowl specific starter feed for ducklings and goslings--it was Niacin supplemented too.

I buy Nutritional yeast off Amazon. Really doesn't matter where you get it as long as you do so you can give it to your ducklings.
