Someone mentioned cayenne paper as a deterrent. Isn't that stationary paper and how exactly does that work?

I also remember reading here that lion urine deters foxes. I wonder if it would work on dogs?

Oh Cindi you are a sweet gal. I don't ever want to shoot a dog either. But sometimes it's what you have to do. Yes I get it's not the dogs fault, it's the owners. Yet that doesn't mean squat when one is after your chickens. But really this is where I question things. Bull Mastifs aren't hunting dogs. They are guard dogs. If someone actually got them to hunt an animal they are very idiots. The Bull Mastif's purpose was to find poachers and corner them without mauling them. Somehow I doubt they were being taught to hunt humans even at a hunt club. Protect your livestock since it is legal to do so. Good luck.
