Nick's Modern Games

So, this year I would like to expand to blues. The blues themselves are cool, and I have a few projects for them as well. The first one I want to do is blue breasted red, using my black breasted reds and the blues I want to get. I want to do these because they are a recognized color, but I can't find anybody who has them. The second project is blue birchens. These aren't recognized, these would just be for me. I also want to make a separate black line off of the pure blues. I have a single black hen. I would breed the pure blues, take the best black cockerels I get out of them, and cross it on the black hen.

There is a gal locally who has red pyles and lemon blues. I might possibly want them.. idk... she asked me how much she should charge for a chick. (she has bought other birds from me, and I had owned moderns before her). I told her probably $20-$30 a chick, but then she sent me a screenshot of a website that was selling MGB chicks for $60 a chick... so... yeah.

Its just a matter of how bad I want them, I guess.

Blue Hour Poultry has a ton of modern game pullets and cockerels from last breeding season. A bunch of varieties too. Their adults are around 100 per bird but they are quality birds. They do only ship in the cooler months due to hot temperatures.

That's where I was planning to get my trio of blues. $435 though...
Yikes! It's worth it though.

Weird. On the FB page it says they have stopped shipping adult birds but on the website it still says I can order them. It doesn't tell me what day they would get here tho.
