I had a #1 on my 18th birthday. The restaurant sent multiple people to talk me out of it, but I wouldn't relent. It was one of the most memorable meals of my life!

Nowadays, I play it safer with a #3-4. If you're cooking it past #5, step away from the grill, you maniac! Have some chicken breast if you're that averse to flavor.

I love how rare steak falls apart, especially when the fat is rendered perfectly. Filet mingon is TOO buttery for me though, that delicacy is lost on my tastebuds, haha.
