PS. I just haven’t gotten the hang of the new BYC. Sorry for repeat fotos. Don’t know how to get rid of the duplicates.

Here’s Fred with his two favorite girls (Fred, Lacy and Speckle are still young). And here’s JoJo. She’s been laying for a while.
Beautiful! I have 2 hens and am loving their personalities!! Let me know if you decide to rehire him, I think we’re near the same area.
I will. We actually have 3 Roos (pure bred) between my friend and I. I had three baby neiderrheiner fluffy butts hoping for a girl and they were all boys. She will definitely keep one, and she’s trading one for some hens. If we have one that she hasn’t promised (I promised mine to her if I rehome), I will definitely let you know. Nice to know there is a potential home for him. Would you have any interest in trading him for a girl?
Bella is almost 20 weeks old now, and I can't get over the size of this bird! Maybe part of the difference is that she obviously came from a private breeder, while my other birds are hatchery stock? She has to be approaching 10 pounds now...she's larger than my almost 6 month old Delaware and Australorp, and she is at least double the size of the Olive Egger that hatched with her! She's very pretty and docile, too - she gets picked on a bit by the other birds, despite her size advantage.
Here she is with my adult (1 yr+) Easter Egger - the lighting isn't great in this photo, but it shows her size well:

And here she is next to my adult (1 year+) Speckled Sussex hen, with the adult Easter Egger and her Olive Egger hatch mate in the background:

Not a great picture but that one of my girls in the top left of the picture. Love my gentle giants though my Brahma makes them look small!Ok neiderrheiner people. How old were your girls when they started to lay? I have 2 that are about 6 months I think. They are not really showing any signs my month and a half younger barred rocks are developing combs and waddles more so than the neiders and my marans that is 3-4 weeks older than them started to lay on Christmas.
