They are SO sweet and you are AWESOME!!!!

Maybe they can all go out for an hour or so in the afternoon so they can start to get ‘hardened’ a little? I know it can get pretty chilly, but I er… I really think they might get too ‘delicate’ by being kept is such a warm space. How cold is it outside? I mean, MS is Mississippi right? I know you had a cold snap, and I know it gets chilly but… errrr…

I do plan to take them all outside today. It's warmer (60s) and sunny. I too believe in raising animals the more natural way. This is a 100 year old home and it never gets too warm in any one room so that's why I've put the heater on the floor and set it to 85 so it stays on at night and they can get near it. But it never gets anywhere near 85 in the room itself. But you're right, I don't want them to get used to sleeping in my bathroom curled up next to a heater.

They are just the most adorable little buggers. I am so glad to hear they are doing well.

I've had multiple breeders tell me: By all means hold them and love on them; even (and actually especially) if momma decides to take full responsibility for them it will make them more friendly to have all that human contact daily.

The babies had their first outing today and got to meet the rest of the herd.

They seemed to enjoy themselves and are very inquisitive. Mama and babies have been moved into the tack room and out of my bathroom. During the day, I'll move them back into stables so they can come and go outside as they please - that is if it's a warm and sunny day like today was.

The little buck is coming along. Tonight he's jumping and bouncing sideways all over the tack room. I mixed up a jar of water with vitamin/electrolyte added and crushed a B complex vitamin and a selenium vitamin and added that and then gave each kid a dropperful twice today plus a small vitamin E capsule. They are both playing and bouncing. We are still having to hold Confetti several times a day so the little buck can eat. She still won't let him get too close or nurse on his own. She does, however, totally dote on the little female.

I just can't get over how cute they are and how much fun to watch. I want to put them in my purse and take them everywhere with me. It will be nice to have tame goats - all the big ones we have are semi-wild.
