Meet Jumping Jack Flash ("JJ") and Bouncing Betty ("BB"):
I think that's what I'm going to name them because the only time they are still and I can get a photo is when they are eating or sleeping. The rest of the time, they are little firecrackers, little jumping beans. They don't walk, they bounce, and sideways at that. Just so darn cute I can't keep my hands off them.
Little Jumping Jack is doing great. He's learned to get in there and nurse when he can, like when mama's eating or sister is nursing so I can probably eliminate the forced holding of mama soon.
They both love to crawl all over me like they are practicing mountain climbing.
I talked to Cindy today and sent her a deposit for my next little baby well actually my next two little babies. I have fallen in love so much with the little boogers that we have increased my pen size so that now I plan on getting around 6. I will purchase two from Cindy to go with the two I have and then keep two babies when mine have them.
Have fun with your babies!
JJ and BB are doing great. Mama is letting JJ nurse, not doting on him like she does BB but lets him nurse and isn't pushing him away. So I no longer have to get up all night long to go check on them and hold her. I am, however, making a bottle and feeding them once or twice a day just to keep them tame and because it is so fun. I even brought both inside, cuddled in my coat, to sleep on me for a bit in front of the fire. I'm moving mama back with herd for a few hours each day and giving her a break since she's started living on the chair or milking stand just to get away from them for a bit.
Here they are tonight sleeping in the little box DH made for them. They still sleep right next to that heater/blower they love so much.
The kids are getting so big. JJ (Jumping Jack Flash) has his little horns which I think I'm going to let him keep and BB (Bouncing Betty Boop) loves to suck on my ear lobe. Both are eating "big goat" food like goat feed and leaves. I'm still bottle feeding JJ once a day and DH and I hold Confetti so he can nurse occasionally.
They never stand still so it's hard to get a good pic.
Here's the happy little family having their dinner tonight.
JJ is proving himself to be quite the little stud and keeps mounting his sister - this started at 3 weeks old and now they are 4 weeks old and I guess I'll have to separate him in another few weeks. Boy, they grow up fast.
