I love goat milk!!I love goats! We have 5 Nigerians. The does turned one year this March. Hoping to have babies and milk next spring.
Goats are so much fun. Not necessary a drawback, but I have found them to be more high maintenance than chickens: you have to get their minerals right (possibly supplementing copper/selenium depending on your location), you have to worry more about parasites (and parasites becoming resistant to the dewormers), and their hooves need to be trimmed regularly.Ah, chickens, the gate way to goats...just kidding. I don't have any goats currently, but will they eat bitterbrush, knapweed, ponderosa pine needles? what are the draw backs to goats, (besides males butting and pee smell?)
I love Nigerians! I have 2 also! This thread is for all Nigerian Dwarf goat lovers! I have two of them named Bonnie and Willow. Please no rude comments or pictures.
