I have an 11-month old doeling who's about 35 pounds, but I'm breeding for a very small goat. As long as they eat and drink and are active and healthy looking, I wouldn't be concerned about the weight.

Do you milk yours?

I just got my little goats today. The girl, Cream puff, loves the camera. The little wether was not too sure about things. Here is a picture of Cream Puff:)

I'll be getting a ND within the next few days. Mom is buying a sort of packaged deal on three Togennburg crosses and the little ND doe is part of the package. Since Mom's fences are designed for big goats and mine for smaller sheep, I get the ND. According to mom she's only about knee hight, which seems small to me. The goats are just roaming around on 50 acres, so she may be under nourished and that's why she's so tiny.

Mom's going back to get the ND and a buck that's there and this is only if mom actually gets the Buck and the ND doe. I am excited, though!

I love ND's.

Just wondering. How are they with fences? Are they anything like pygmy goats in the noise factor and the spaz factor?

My last doe had to be rehomed, she was a pygmy doe and she wouldn't stay with the sheep and she was loud and pushy.

Well, I have 3 pygmy does, and 2 ND wethers-----I think the NDs are more pushy! Maybe it's because they're boys? I really don't see too much difference in the way they behave at all.

Sumatra, any goat by itself (and they consider sheep a lower life form and not company fit for them), if going to be loud and pushy. I would leave the nigi doe with your mom and the goats she is used to if being loud is going to be a problem.
