I know that much but the school funding is there.. but just never makes it too the school. The politicians put it in General funds when schools should have their own funds and then it  would not be an issue.   Making dumb tests are not the answer. And yes it could  be talked about all day.. but I also know required content to be taught is too much. They seem to focus less on the basic subjects and instead on all the 'extra' stuff that doesn't really apply. Plus the students are stressed out and less adults around = more harassment going on in the halls which distract students from focusing on the lessons.  all a vicious cycle.  The ones that excel should be allowed to move up at their pace, during  semester periods.  A nice concept they wont do *sigh*

I agree, students that need to move to better classes should be able to move to better classes. Most schools do that for math and reading but not other subjects like science or social studies. A lot of times when I'm sitting in class I ask myself How is this going to help me in life? XD Anyways, my school has tried out a new thing called Smarter Balance. It's a bunch of tests taken on the computer. After you answer each question right, the next is a little harder. If you get one wrong, then they ask one that's a little easier. That way they can tell about where you are.
