Nipple Waterers VS Pail of water.

I got the horizontal nipples today! That was super fast. Woohoo!!!!

The horizontal nipple waterer is installed!! Right now the girls are doing the peck and run thing. Then they go back over and stare at it. I know they want a drink. Ugh! I feel like a turd. I picked each one up and put their beak to it, maybe they will catch on. I will probably show them again in a few more minutes. It's been about 15 or 20.

2nd tutorial(lol) done. I picked one up at a time and put their beak to the nipple. They both drank the water as I pushed then closer. We will see if they figure it all out.

One of the 2 has got it!!!! Yay!!!! No problem

Just leave them alone they will figure it out. Just remove any other source of water.

They both got it within an hour or so. I had to show the 2nd one again, but she had it whipped after that. Soooo happy!!!! We are getting 2 buff orps in the morning so I will show them too. Or they may learn from the others. I am so glad I purchased the nipples. I will post a picture, but it's not the best. We are in the process of building our new coop and run so I went ahead and installed it in their "holding tank" coop. Lol

We ended up getting 2 production reds- 5 weeks old. We also have 2 golden sex links- 12 weeks old. I showed the younger ones where and how to get water, I hope they can adjust easily. I don't see why they wouldn't. Update y'all soon.....

Well the production reds caught on to the nipples very quickly. No problems.
