haha. we have to get used to calling our chickens girls and boy now. it is even harder because we call our dogs boys and girl. i still need names for two of my pullets, any ideas anyone?

Well, you can see why I named him U.B., even though he is very very pretty. Its those devil horns he's got going on. I named my silkie hen Leila, cuz as sweet as she is, she grumbles and complains all the time. SO, I named her after a crotchety old neighbor lady. Then I had Miss leggs, leghorn, cuz she had the longest legs... Then I have had a Buffy, Petunia, Rosey, Belle Mai, Hawkarella, ShehSheh, Loralie, Eldee, Esdee... Those were named that as LD- Lucky Dummy, cuz she flew over the fence into the dog pen, and the dogs took out her tail, and SD, Smart Dummy, cuz she also flew over the fence, but was smart enough to fly back to her side when she saw the dogs coming. Then I have the "V" trio, all wyandottes... Veena (RIP), Vanna, and Vonna. But I have a tendancy to name them when they do something that reminds me of someone, a character, or a name just pops up. I have one named Fiametta, Fia for short, only just I had just finished listening to an audio book, and this character what a uppity broad. And Fia, well she acts like her morning poop doesn't stink, so... LOL.
Roger got his name because my 5 year old said he looked like a Roger to him... I got him from a mexican couple, and they were heck bent he was a girl and named him Lola... Um... Hello, thats a crow... HA. Anyway... I have 41 birds, and only half are named!

Well, we have given up our roo! the chances of him not going to the slaughterhouse are very slim. Still, i will pray every night that he will find a home. Thank you every one for all your answers, i really appreciate it!! D=

Roos will protect the girls too, sometimes giving up their lives to save the flock. I keep a roo because I love their crow and because they help keep the girls safe.

Well, he just was a little too violent, with both us and the girls. D=
