I used my phone light, which is not the strongest light. I could see the shape of the air sack, however not bright or yellow. These were bought, not shipped.

I can understand that! Incubating can be an anxious endeavor. How many eggs have you set? Are they all too dark to see?Courtix quail. Yes, I am in a very dark room. I'm worried still. Candling was 2 days age(today's day 17) and it hasn't pipped. I want to help it but I can''t.![]()
yes they are alive. Did you calibrate your thermometer? Sounds like they'll be late hatchers.Yes, I saw the chicks and the veins. Does that mean alive? I'm worried about the air sack still though. It's day 17, no pipping or hatching.I think it's alive, but also kinda not alive??? Tomorrows day 18... no pipping.
dont float test, this is only ever meant to be an absolute last life check. And even then is not reliable.I'll try, Could the float test help? (where you put the egg in water) I've heard some people tried it..
I have 5 eggs, which are very dark, but not extreme.. I did do the float test on day 14, which they moved a little bit/
You calibrated what?OCt 8 was the setting. I did calibrate. Maybe they'll hatch tomorrow?????? I will candle them today or tomorrow. They were moving however(shaking??), does that mean they're alive?
Can you use your phone that you just used to candle an egg with to take a picture and upload it here of your two homemade incubators?Oh no, I have 2 homemade incubators. Hot water bottle was one, but this one is a heating thing. ( I don't know what's it called) It heats it's surroundings and also gives a little humidity.
