Dinosaurs are resilient. Keep doing what you are doing, you shouldn't need a vet. Neosporin is my go to. Iodine/Betadine when I'm out (almost never). I've had birds recover 100% from far worse - never lost one to an injury so minor.

If it is getting infected, kiwi was given CHLORHEXIDINE to prevent that... It will probably work

This afternoon fluid came out again, and its looking a lot better since! I think the infection is working its way out...
