No eggs for 10 days

My speckeled sussex was a great egg layer for 3 months and now I haven't had an egg in 10 days. 10 days ago she layed an egg in the yard. It was in an embrionc sack rather than a hard egg. Then yesterday she layed another just like that in the run. Should I be overly concerned or is this some form of brooiness. She is eating but seem less active than usual. Thank you in advance for your help.

Sounds like a possible calcium deficiency? Are you giving oyster shell?

Yeah, now I'm giving them a lot. My americanna has also been laying very thin shelled eggs. I'm starting to see an improvement.

They might be starting a molt. Worms or paracites will effect laying. Diet and age are also considered. I recently varied their diet with daily greens and a high protein game bird feed which has them back on track.
