If they are all still hanging together they are not quite ready to breed yet. Still winter coveying. If you leave one Male the hens really wont have a choice and should submit for breeding. You could watch and let them sort it out but males may get territorial and fight before it is settled out. There is a possibility of them killing each other if they fight.

Okay. So the plan is to build a shelter and remove two males to a quail hen free environment. Will do!

quail species are so interesting... who woulda thought that two different kinds of quail can be so different!!!

Aren’t they? The bobs were an impulse purchase but they are so interesting!
