I want a few buckeye hens in the future and I wanted to know where y'all usually get them

Please don't question "why not a local breeder?!" I don't have any theres one lady who I got four of my chicks from but I don't think she would have any and the cockerels I got from her sucked never getting wyandottes again man

I've ordered mine through Meyer but know that sometimes hatchery stock isn't the best. I'm in the same boat as you, no one has them around me. Try checking the American Buckeye Club website. I know I was able to check a breeder list there. You might have to email the breeders as I'm not sure how current the list is.
I haven't checked but maybe there's a Buckeye group on Facebook?
You might also be able to check The Livestock Conservancy and see what they have listed as well.
Anything I've found on here has been old, but I did manage to get a few breeders names in a previous post. I'll see if I can find it. I'm not great with tech anymore but I'll look into it.

Looks like Meyer, Valley, Strombergs, and Hoover all offer buckeyes. I've never gotten buckeyes from any of them, so I can't speak to quality. Buckeye breeders can be difficult to track down, it took me about 2 months to find some.

I think strombergs just dropships, like Tractor Supply. I think they get their birds from hoovers now but I am not positive.

Same with me. My towns TSC never gets chicks but Rural King does and gets them from Hoovers. Another town 45-1 hr away, TSC does carry chicks. I've had a mixed bag with either place. I've only seen RK carry Buckeyes once in the last 8 years of actively keeping chickens. No one in my area has them. Maybe I can change that but we'll see. I've ordered about 5-6, 1 roo and rest hens from Meyer . We'll see how it goes. I won't get them until May though. Unfortunately, things have come up at work so I was not able to get them in March when I originally planned.
