This is my first flock and all my hens are between 3 1/2 - 4 months old. We have 2 Rhode Island reds, 1 black sex link, 1 golden sex link, 1 cuckoo maran and 1 Ameracauna and 1 rooster. They have a coop that has 6 nest boxes in it, and three perches. They sleep in the perches at night except for the rooster who sleeps in a nest box. I thought we would have eggs by now but nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

Still a bit early but some of those breeds do start as early as 4 months. Most chickens start between 5 and 7 months old.

They are still too young. Most breeds don't start to lay until about 20 to 25 weeks. And the shorter daylight hours of fall can really slow down their rate of development.
