No eggs yet

Hello. I have 6 quail chicks, ages 6-8 weeks and the male has started breeding with 2 of the hens. Is it too soon to get eggs. I don’t know if he is successful in breeding them, but he’s attempting it. When do you think I should start seeing some eggs?

It really varies. If we're talking about coturnix quail, they can start laying anywhere from 6 weeks on. I've had some start to lay right at 6 weeks, and I've had some not start to lay until 14 or so weeks.
