Our electric went out for about 45 - 60 min this morn. Temp was down to 80 in the bator. Will this hurt my eggs? The temp has been consistently 95. Have 12 French copper maran eggs in there on day 13. I don't want to loose them. I'm surprised the temp dropped so quickly. Our house isn't very warm, maybe 65 - 70. They are in the foam type incubator. When I discovered the electric off, I put a blanket over them, but the electric came back on about 5 min later. Leaving blanket on until it warms back up. I know when our broody hatched 5 out about 3 wks ago, there was 3 that didn't hatch and she quit setting on them. It was several hours, maybe a day, before we removed the eggs. My dh opened up one and the chick was still alive. Of course he "helped" it and it only lived a day. But of course, they were "full term". What's anyones experience with this situation? Will this much temp drop kill the little ones?

If your eggs were viable to begin with, this short drop in temperature will have no impact on them whatsoever. Good luck for a successful hatch.

Thanks sourland! I didn't think it would hurt to much, but wasn't sure at 13 days. We watched our broody with her eggs, and she would get off of them to the point we thought they wouldn't be good, but they were. I think sometimes we are to technical. They are much tougher than we think. My eggs are dark choc brown and I haven't candled yet. I'm going to try this evening or tomorrow. You can't see much with them.
