NO HATCH...WHAT DID I DO WRONG?????

You know, oldtime is very right about one thing (well, more than one, LOL). Ventilation is key right at the very end and so many people cover up vent holes trying to up the humidity. That alone could kill the entire hatch if there wasn't adequate oxygen. It's a very common mistake, too.

OH HECK, that could have been it. I thought those were to keep humidity up. The bator has couple other LITTLE holes in the top. I did have those big holes mostly pluged. I DID kill my babies.

Oh Lori, that's tough! Sorry to hear that.

My first guess would be your instruments for measuring temp and humidity are off.

If the chicks were fully developed but didn't hatch, it points to good temps, but squirrelly humidity.

The fan does make a difference with the hatches. I think you borrowed yours, but my DH bought an older Hova still air at a yard sale and immediately after making sure it was sparkling clean, installed a computer fan in it. Works very well and it does eliminate hot spots. Still air machines take lots of babysitting to keep things perfect, seems to me, although many have had successful hatches in them.
