Hi! This is one of 9 chicks that hatched from 40 eggs we were given and I have no clue what it is. I’m in denial about what I think are saddle feathers coming in and it’s got a green sheen, but I want to be prepared to put it on Craigslist if it is a little roo and I’d like to know what breed it might be. The other little roo had already started crowing by this point and this one hasn’t, so I’m hoping it’s a hen - but not hoping too much. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for all the feedback. He’s about 3/4 months old. I haven’t heard him crow and he hatched the same time as the other Cochin roo I had that was crowing. Alas, I know he’s a roo. I’ll only be in denial a little longer. I live in an area where I’m not supposed to have roosters, so I keep having to give them away on Craigslist or cook them up.
