Hi all,
Here is my intro. Thanks for having me.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We have had chickens on and off for a while, but this last lot have been the most complicated which I will explain in my first post...
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Eight. Seven hens and one rooster.
(3) What breeds do you have? I have no idea - a couple of rescues, a couple of rehomed chooks, and other random ones.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Hard to explain. It feels like it creates a more dynamic ecosystem on our property to have chickens digging stuff up, eating things, and then crapping everywhere on repeat.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? With work, family, and exercise taking up most of my time, my main hobby is thinking about what hobbies I'd like to try.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Two kids, one wife, and two dogs.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? The internet brought me here a few weeks ago and I have found it very useful.
