I recognize the name, but I don't know her. Although I belong to the CA Chickens board, I haven't posted in quite some time, and have been on No Mail for a number of months. Wish I had more time to do fun things like that!

I took a look at the rules again. I *think* what it is suggesting that if you participate in the Youth divisions, you must be in 4H or similar. However, it would appear that if you aren't in 4H, you can still participate as a youth in the open division. Take a look right around pages 52 - 54.
