15 years ago it was common to see a mom smack her kid for swearing in public, stealling, etc.... now it child abuse.

Now that we are seeing how many are sick from breathing second hand smoke.... DIEING from lung cancer(they never smoked but thier parents smoked like a train)

Protecting those that due not want to be subjected to BAD thing is not a bad thing. If those that are doing the bad thing are not courteous enough to respect those that dont want to be exposed.

15 years ago they were also shooting up kids with vaccines full of mercury. Now they have it in minscule amounts, and of course a full dose in the Flu shot.

I had an easyier time, when you are put in a place where there is no stopping at the store to get another pack for 3 months, its easier to quit.

I have been without a smoke for over 20 years, I forget the months hours weeks days and minutes, but thats because I am loosing my mind.

I never did get it either, smokers seem to be the evil doers in the world when it is far from the truth. Smokers were just an easy target - someone to blame for all the bad in the world and make em pay!
None of that made me quit, the stupid tax raise in April made me quit, I'm sick and tired of paying for stuff for the people calling me an evil menace to society (with their hands still in the OUT position)

In a few years they'll find another section of society to call EVIL.

There are so many bigger issues out there but people love to get wrapped up in this argument. The media loves it because it makes a good 60 second story to fill the evening news. The moral busybodies love it because they get to make themselves feel better. The politician love it because they can increase taxes and pretend like they care.

I was a smoker. I quit. My choice, my decision, MY BODY (sound familiar???)

You want to smoke? Go ahead. Smokers know better than most how bad it is for them and telling them how bad it is makes it worse and harder to quit (basic psychology). I do like Seminole's tactic of a small suggestion from a former smoker. That can be very effective.

No person who drives a car, consumes anything shipped, or heats their home has any business complaining about people having a cigarette on the street. It's the equivalent to having a bonfire burning in your back yard (with some rubber tires in it) and complaining about the smell coming off their neighbors grill.

Smoke em if ya got em people.
