Okay, explain the ecig to me. It probably would have helped my hubby when he quit.
Once we were driving down the road. My hubby picked up my hand and carried my fingers to his mouth. I thought, "How sweet, he is going to kiss my fingertips." um....no. He was fake smoking them.
I guess that he just had a craving.
I think Seminole explained it a few posts back. Basically a battery powered nicotine replacement device. Unlike the other ways to quit, like a patch or gum or ? You can use it as needed, and get a "hit" of nicotine much like smoking would give, not as in the patch a slow intake. You get the same "hit" you would get off a cigarette, all at once - then you take a break as when you stop smoking your cigarette. You get to inhale it as well, unlike getting it in gum or through your skin, it feels the same, you get to take a deep breath and can feel it in your mouth and throat. You also get to exhale a cloud of fake smoke
which can honestly freak some people out (non-smokers) have been known to pretend cough when they see the cloud of VAPOR, thinking its real smoke!
These things are important to a smoker, as well as being able to taste it. After a while the taste of a real cigarette becomes pretty nasty, and you can branch out into all the fruity flavors or the coffee, clove, spearmint, menthol etc... the list is endless!
