PVC two inches from the bottom is kinda high, for this feeder. See how it goes without the corn and as was mentioned in other posts, raise the feeder up higher. Make the openings about back height of your biggest chickens and put a step in front of one of the sides for your smaller ones. I've done that, when introducing pullets. I get some dust on the ground, but that's about all. I use crumble in my feeders.
