My understanding is that the owners of JM Hatchery, who sold them in 2010, turned all their FR sales over to their son-in-law (Kendall?) this year. He had been raising the chicks for JM before and now sells them at www.freedomrangerhatchery.com .

I have also heard that a few years back there was another company connected with Freedom Rangers that did quit selling FRs. But I don't know that history--that was before I discovered FRs.

i don't know, but we love ours! meaty little fellas (and gals), AND they run, JUMP and play! they don't just sit in one spot all day like a slug!

true but there are chickens we CALL freedom rangers and they could be a breed one day

I hear ya, but there's a difference between "no such breed" and "no such thing."

Argh. I may end up going with the Cornish X's so I don't have to buy 25 FRs.

I think this needs to be done as a matter of principle. He needs a reminder that one should have an open mind to learning something from time to time, instead of simply insisting that they doesn't exist, just because he hadn't heard of them before.
