That is so incredibly helpful to share your experience. It answered pretty much all the questions that I had! I was already planning to do 45% humidity days 1-18 and 65% during lockdown. But I think I’ll do exactly what you did and see what happens. I’ll plan on letting them sit for 24 hours and then start turning day 2 to 16. The. I’ll leave them. Thank you! Thank you! I’ll be sure to post once I get these little babies and see if I have as good of a hatch as you did!
Yes, please come back and update us! We don’t know what we did right this time lol...I began to wonder if the not turning for more than a day was causing them to stick to their internal membrane/not absorb yolk? Or possibly the network of veining didn’t fully extend to the bottom of the shell (since they weren’t turned during the development of the veins) and that it could’ve led to yolk absorption issues. That was something all of our first several batches had in common, dying around day 19....but then again, all from same seller, and all dirtier than what I would normally incubate. I feel like had it been an effect of shipping, most would’ve quit early on. Most of them would make it to lockdown but die before turning to pip. Fingers crossed you get a great hatch!!!
