You saying her feathers don't shed water? If that's so, it sounds like the feathers are lacking the natural oils available in nature that make them repel water.

Sounds like it could be wet feather. Does she have access to clean water? As well muscovies aren't as waterproof as mallard based ducks. I know you have been having other issues with Vause, so it might be related. Are you able to take her to a vet?

I was thinking it was related im just so concerned. The vet is able to take her monday so i am hoping I can figure something out. She used to be obsessed wih coating, everytime she would jump in the pool and get out ahe would go to town. But now she doesnt seem to be using her gland as much. Also, Vause has a pin but we have her free range so she can run and swim and forge and stuff, and she NEVER goes anywhere. She is always perched on the back porch, somewhere in distance of mama (me) or the house I am in.. but i went to check on her and she was GONE. and she didnt come back until the next day..
