Nobody Else Has Done It

WARNING!!!
I tried to order my dream dress from one of those sites.... NIGHTMARE! They lost my credit card #, and needed it again, only to bill me multiple times, if you call them good luck EVER getting a hold of anyone over there... and I do mean China. It was a disaster. Shop local. That's what I did in the end. I learned my lesson the hard way.

M, Hazel's is located in Godley, Texas and you can go to their store to get your dress if you'd feel more comfortable with that.

The lady that runs the store is very nice and she called me several times to make sure everything was just as I wanted it.

This is kind of like what I am looking at. The price is still a bit high to me...for a dress I'll only wear once. I need some strappage up top. I will NOT go without undergarments on that day.

Is China being turned down because it's not "made in America" or because it won't look as good as the photos say?

If you do order online, and the fit is not quite right, you won't feel awful about paying to alter the dress. If you do decide to order online, make sure you have dress well before the wedding day. That way you have plenty of time to alter the dress.

If you order from China, what happens when you get it and its not the right dress, or its shoddily made, or it doesnt fit? What then?

I refuse to buy anything from China just from Principle, but in your case you're really asking for trouble.

I did the whole wedding for real cheap. My maid of honor and I (in different states) spent weeks looking for a pretty dressy outfit that would fit. I went with a purple (what can I say...2nd wedding) 2-piece skirt set but found lots of beautiful clothing in off-white and white, especially in the thrift store.

BTW, what's the special K diet? I've lost about 80 pounds and have another 50-60 to lose. Low-carb works for me, but I'm willing to change things up from time to time. Keep my bod guessing!

I like the second dress best from above.

China's products are usually cheap and crappy made jmo and I try not to get stuff from there.

I just recently sent something back there for my son and mp3 player....he did not know he ordered from them. It was a store on line. Do you know how much it cost to send that little player back....which thankfully they refunded but not all place will refund all your shipping. It cost $28 dollars. Also do you know how long it took to get there....2-3 weeks. Just something to think about.

I got my wedding dress from the J.C.Penny warehouse outlet. These are all dresses that people ordered and returned for some reason. The dress was full length (with a train) and cost me a whopping 40 dollars.

My grandmother altered it to tea length, which was what I wanted.

My wedding cake ($75) cost more than the dress did.

If you know someone who sews, you might want to give that a look.
