Nodule on egg (outer shell)

One of our chickens (14 month old Buff Op[VIDEO][/VIDEO]ington) last two eggs laid
have had a module on the outer shell, see photo.

Is this something to be concerned about. What is it?

No worries. It's just a calcium deposit. They can be quite common and it doesn't affect the egg.

Nothing to worry about....my chickens occasionally lay eggs that look like that too. Also sometimes the eggs are smooth and other times they are a bit rough.
