Non Computer person asking a probably "easy" question...

Okay...I have been trying to get my teenage son to help me here but his life is way to busy....what ever....
I am not computer savy....
My Question is how in the world do you "quote" someone
I have noticed that people will take certain sentences and it will be highlighted....I have been trying to cut...paste...but I am doing it wrong.....I guess....thanks in advance....

Click on the word "quote" in the bottom right hand corner of the post.

It took me a little while to notice it myself.

You can use the "Quote" button in the lower right corner of the post that you want to quote.

--OR--

If you know how to cut and paste, then surround the text you want to quote with these tags: [*quote*] [*/quote*] (take the *s out, though).

So if you wanted something to appear like this:

QUOTED TEXT

you would type [*quote*]QUOTED TEXT[*/quote*] (again, no *s).​
