Non-Crowing Rooster

Hey! I have a rooster that is about 15 weeks old. He has yet to crow, doesn’t even try. Are there some breeds that don’t? Or should I be looking for signs of illness? He seems prefectly heathy.

All breeds crow. Some just do it earlier then others.
I wouldn't assume there's anything wrong.
He will be crowing soon enough.

Agreed. Some never crow either and some just do it very rarely.

If you have mature roosters, a young cockerel won't risk crowing and feeling their wrath.

My young rooster took forever to crow....now he wont shut up. lol! Be careful what you wish for! He didn't crow till this spring and was hatched last August.
