ya its possible. my nieghbor has a Silkie Feathered EE or americana. not sure which one. but its not a silkie and has no silkiet but in it but carries the silkie feather gene

Yep. There are Silkie-feathered Easter Eggers, Seramas, Ameraucanas, Hedemoras, and quite a few assorted mutts out there.

All it takes is crossing a Silkie-feathered bird x normal, then back to the Silkie-feathered one or the offspring of the first cross bred to each other.
