non gmo feed

I am looking for a source of non gmo 5-way for bulk ordering. Maybe 10 50lb bags at a time. Can anyone help me out?

Anna, I live in southeast NH and I’m trying to find a NON GMO feed. It doesn’t have to be organic just non-GMO. I’ve been feeding them new country organics and it’s just too expensive, and I don’t find my chickens do very well on it, as well as the Greenmountain feed..I don’t see them doing that well on either one of those. So I want to switch to the Purina Layena but their organic is 40 pounds and it’s almost $27.99 where I can get the other two at the same price but they’re 50 pounds bags.I love the fact that the Purina Layena has everything in it, but it’s gmo corn and soy. ( I called them) I’m beyond frustrated. I would love to give them organic as I have been, but money wise it’s killing us. 33 birds is costing us about 45.00 a week to feed. I only sell my eggs to family at 2.00 a dozen, and right now they are molting so I’m getting maybe 5-7 eggs a day. Yesterday I got 3 eggs. I maybe get 6-8 dollars a week from the money if that when they are laying normal..
if you know of any non GMO feed please post lol I’m about to fly the coop myself haha..

I buy scratch & peck organic non GMO but it’s really expensive. I have 21 chickens and I cut down on costs by fermenting it. Makes my 40lb bag last twice as long. I spend $30 on a 40lb bag & get about two weeks out of it. I live in the northwestern tip of Oregon though, so I’m only a few hours away from where it’s produced and manufactured. I’ve heard of places charging almost double what I pay for it. It’s worth it IMHO knowing they aren’t eating GMO corn or soy. My girls are also in the middle of a molt and I’m getting around 8-10 eggs a day.

I don't think that there is a definition of bulk feed but I use to order Argentina Flint corn a pallet at a time from the farm x the river from St Louis. It was delivered on the back of a van trailer while delivering 40,000lb to the port of demarcation in Mobile, Jacksonville, or Miami. There was 1 ton or 40 50lb sacks of shelled corn per pallet. I was within 2 miles of an Interstate highway and had a forklift handy to unload my corn. Bulk has a duel meaning, it means both ordering a lot of weight and needing only to delay the delivery truck and driver for just a moment or two to unload. Everything today works on a "Just in Time" schedule.

If you'll keep the above in mind you'll enjoy better success ordering the feed you want.

I used to use Scratch and Peck and got it from Azure Standard. I had to drive an hour one way to pick up my order and for us also, it was so expensive. But I am thinking I might try fermenting it as they wasted a TON! Right now I am feeding a non-gmo feed (but it has soy AND ethoxyquin ) and the last 2 weeks I am having a problem with my girls having diarrhea-type poops and they are drinking TWICE the normal amount of water and I have no idea what is wrong with them. They don't act sick but out of 17 chickens I am only getting 5-9 eggs a day... i am at my wits end. (see "drinking excess water" for the full story)

Are you positive these are non gmo feeds? I am looking at the tag on the agrimaster layer and it just says things like grain products, plant protein products, ANIMAL protein products...?! Is that whatever the rendering truck picks up?? Ugh! I haven’t checked the others...
