brand new tire with a nail
edge of the sidewall

Just now, text surprise
Warranty replacement tire
just arrived at store

what a fiasco
ordering online headaches
not fun distractions

As we have started page 200, some 2.5 years on I’ll share a fresh flavor of well wishing haiku for you…..

Part 1: the healing wish, a reply to a random poet…

On Your horizon
fresh sunrises wipe slate clean
wounds might heal faster

as You gain footing
planting seeds for trust to sprout
from feeding Your soul

Part 2: good bye & all the luck

You are quite welcome
think of me as a comet
as You round the sun

my tail disappears
sprinkling inspiration
as You pass through it

as I wander off
May I leave this parting thought

Cold front lingering
Frostbytten by cold shoulder
on bed of concrete

shade-tree mechanic
raw, unfiltered natures moods
live or die on hill

#depression’s specter
drains me like a succubus
asleep or awake
#TalkinHaiku #veteran

(A little background here seems relivant: awoke this morn’ knowing the starter needs removed to be tested &/or replaced. We live on a small hill with wind 26-28 days a week all year-round over the 11 plus years we have lived here. Today it’s gonna be a real bitter time outside : ~38*F & windchill is 29*F. The “high” might crawl up to 45*F. I will be getting to lay on the driveway with wind blowing directly on me while jacking the truck up to remove the starter…. )
