i have discovered scifi stories narrated over in youtube-land...... i have sorted those that i have listened to into a few basic topics... one folder is of storied that are worthy of being labeled as allegories or similar topics of meditation.... akin to stories with a moral or ethical foundational note.... etc....

so, this haiku was what came to mind as this story finished up:

Why don’t I quit now?
Act of desperation, I
Cut my hair last month.

More change is needed:
Aiming ev’ry day to be
Better than before.

I’m still human though.
Preferring direct feedback,
not ‘between-the-lines.’

There is little room
For someone so out-of-touch
in society.

As the poet wrote:
“The moral of this story,
moral of this song—

Is that one should nev’
be where one does not belong.”
