I've got two questions.
1. Not that I'm complaining but our chicken Mele poops just about everywhere she wants except amazingly enough she hasn't pooped on me. I'm not holding her 24/7 but I fully expected to be pooped on by now considering how much time I spend holding her. Am I just lucky so far or do they "hold it" when they're being held?
2. She's shown less and less interest in the yard and a whole lot more in the house. She pecks happily around the yard until she realizes I'm gone and heads straight for the door. She'll jump up on the baby gate to keep the dog out and then fly right on it. She's been inside because she was sick but now she seems more interested in joining us than foraging around the yard. I'm guessing that because she's our only chicken she figures we're her flock?
