The thing was, he had BAAAD separation anxiety issues. Add that to the stress of not being played with as much in the summer (there was a TON going on with buying a new house) and add to THAT the stress of being moved to a new house. Then having the ENTIRE block of dogs barking at you, you barking at them, and being PICKED UP to be put inside. By the way he was a very sweet pitbull.
The furry babies are so difficult to lose. I'm going to have to make sure mine don't feel neglected and do plenty of training with them so their prey-drive doesn't become an issue. (thanks for sharing your situation - good reminder for the rest of us!)
BTW, I love pits, they're some of the sweetest dogs I've ever worked with. (6yr at a vet clinic) I'll light a candle for your baby to cross the rainbow bridge.
