Normal gosling behavior?

K if the are saying this gosling gizzard is abnormal size could she have eaten shavings? But still be pooping?
I think the fact that they didn't mention "gizzard" after the exam means they don't have a clue. The gizzard in young birds is huge, though I guess that if the gosling ate some shavings it could be a little bigger than normal.

She is definitely eating the shavings I catch her pretty regularly! My thoughts were that exactly but was told then it would impact the crop. And I didn’t see this til after I picked up the medicine so I did in fact receive the amoxicillin but it also has clavulanate potassium in it

Careful with the "justanswer.com avian vet" I consulted with a vet there for my duck and yes, my duck is still alive, but she wasn't getting enough antibiotic to help her get over this infection. I'm not saying anything negative about the sweet lady that helped me, but I'm sure it's really easy to make a dosage mistake or any kind of mistake when they are not there in real life. Thankfully a couple of amazing ladies here on BYC have helped me get in the right direction, with proper dosages, and my precious duck is doing so much better in such a short time. It's been going on for over 2 weeks. I am so grateful that she didn't get septic but the poor duck is ready to get back to being a duck instead of forever patient. So please just be careful and double check with folks here. You already have my 2 duck life savers here!

Edited to add that I know you haven't used them but I did see it referenced. I'm pulling for your gosling!
I appreciate that! And so happy to hear your duck is doing much better. So they gave me amoxicillin with clavulanate potassium. The dosage they told me was 1ml twice a day by mouth.
