We have 6 Barred rock hens that are coming up on six months of age. They started laying in mid July and have steadily increased egg output in this time. Just this week we have been getting almost 5-6 per day.
All chickens are acting normally. They did not get free range time last two days due to husband fertilzing the yard but it has since rained and I let them out this morning.
They frequently visit our back deck and I found this odd poop and became a bit concerned. It looks like scrambled egg with a normal poo. No one is acting off and clearly she had energy to go up the steps and back again. I cannot really tell anybody apart (but I do have leg bands I may have to employ).
Since egg laying began, one laid what I believe to be a rubber egg. All other eggs have been fine.
Attached is a photo of this poo. Thanks for any insight
