Normal?

A few of my hens just started laying within the last couple weeks. Today I found this big oblong egg with what looks like a smear of blood on it. Is she ok? Pic is of the size of all rest of the eggs in comparison.

Yeah it happens, especially with new layers or hens that have resumed laying after a molt break. I always check the hens vent to make sure she is not actively bleeding, but have never seen it to be a problem. Just a burst blood vessel on the way out.
