North Carolina info wanted :)

At the end of the month my husband and I will be traveling to the western/central part of North Carolina to begin looking at real estate there. I need your input for local hotels/motels that are moderately priced and reasonably safe that is between Rutherford and Guilford counties.

I live outside of DC so that should give you somewhat of a gauge to go by

when taking into consideration the "relatively safe part ".

Anyway we hope to find a nice piece of land with some type of home already on it or at least find a nice piece of land that can allow us to raise livestock on it in peace.

I have one lead already but want to make the most of seeing what the state has to offer.
