That I am aware of NO there is no test, you would have to send one of recent dead birds to the state vet for a necropsy or if you really wanted to know take them a live that has symptoms and let them put it to sleep and do a necropsy.

Every coop is CLEAN !!!! I still haven't figured out who or where to put Diablo. I want to start with a big hen since its been a while

Anyway........ I may just build another tractor coop and give him a few EE hens, they should be able to handle him. The NNs are young only one has laid an egg yet, don't want to shock them.

I will keep you posted.

Ruthann, so sorry that this is happening. It is not easy whether it is a chick or a grown bird, have had to cull 3 so far.....

On a good not though, got 5 eggs today! 3 from the big birds and 2 from the silkies. Looks like the nutri-drench, polyvisol, calf manna and the 20% protein feed is paying off... And the bean sprouts twice a week....
