HT-would so take one if I had a goat shed built. I've raised bottle babies before, inside, but I know how fast they grow. I have everything to build a shed, just got to do it. If the daughters have girls would you sell them and for how much? I just love Kikos and pygmys!

My poor little mable is sick again, her tell is down, her poo is runny, and I don't know if its just me but, her eyes seem dilated and panicked. I separated her yesterday, and have been giving her nutri-drench, dewormer, and treats. Gave her a warm bath thinking she might be egg bound but nothing! I'm so frustrated! Idk what to do?! None of my other chickens seem ill, and I just wormed in decemeber.

I hope Mable perks up again. Sometimes "IF" they have worms, it is real hard on them. So is the wormer. Some chickens just are not as hardy as others. Failure to thrive.

How is everyone this morning?

I want a goat.. no I don't... I want a goat... NO I don't. Then tell me why I got a goat care book on swap last month !!!!

I am so not prepared for goats again, haven't had a goat in 10-11 years. My last goats were pygmies, pygmy/Nubian mixes & Nubian. Nubian were my favorite... Now that I know about goat cheese & soap I want to try again. IDK what I am thinking ! IF I can get my chickens down to 100...I will re think the goats.

HT awww how so adorable and cute, Wow..... 4 is very unusal,but sure does explain mom looking like she'd split open anyday

They look great though, must be due to your great care. Good luck getting homes for them. I'd love to have a pygmy for a pet but know nothing about goats.

I think I got all my stuff together, - 3 shirts, 2 silkies for Colie, 5 birds for auction, my GPS, and the kid's game to keep her occupied on the drive to and from. lol Sounds about right to me! Oh and a blanket!

Morning All!! Been a very long night and back at it again this morning. All are well this morning, they are even starting to bounce around already, it is sooo cute.

They are not taking to the supplemental feeding very well but know it's a must and will keep at it every few hours.

Mama looks good and is still very happy to be caring for four babies. Will post some new pics of them in a couple of days as they start to unfold.

Can you give me more information about this auction? I have never been to an auction before. Where is it and when do they do it? Do they have a website? Thanks!

Wicken Chicken Auction, Wilson MIlls rd. Clayton. I will guess 4 hours or so.

Every Sunday..auction starts @ 2pm- ??? they are done. You can check in as early as10am
It is pretty far from you. Check CL for local auctions.
There is another auction in Wilson...even further from you I guess. Every Sat. 9am-??? I am heading that way Sat. to check it out.
