Good morning everyone!!
I am happy to report that DD had her first full night of sleep in a week!! I think she has successfully passed her cold on to ... me!! LOL. I called the doctor's yesterday after everyones suggestions and they said to keep an eye on her since she didn't have a fever and was getting plenty of fluids/wet diapers, etc... My thought is if she is still not herself by Monday then I will call them again and get her in (unless she spikes a fever or something changes in which I'd call sooner!!).

Here's hoping she is on the road to recovery!! Thank you again everyone for your advice/suggestions!!

Funny story: I went to make DH a special dinner last night as he has been trying so hard to pick up my slack and do extra around here because of DD being sick (not to mention planting 11 trees and working on getting our garden set up, etc...). So anyway, we were given this thing (it's called a Tagine - some type of Moroccan cookware) for Christmas by his sister so I was determined to use it - especially since she keeps asking me about it. I go to the store to pick up a few herbs needed to make this recipe, get everything prepped...the lamb is thawed, the herbs cut...then a slip of paper falls out of the cookware that reads: Before first use, soak Tagine in water for 12 hours and let dry completely for 24 hours. Upon completion, rub with olive oil or ghee. REALLY??? So now I have Kaftas (think lamb meatballs) sitting in my fridge (have I ever mentioned how I HATE touching ground meat?? It always gets lodged under my nails!! LOL) waiting for this stupid cookware to "season" so I can use it. Then...the recipe doesn't tell me if I cook it on the stove OR if I cook it in the oven?!? HAHA!! I love foreign cookbooks...at least I managed to convert the recipe from units to English!! I hope that gave you all at least a giggle this morning!!

Good afternoon... evening... whatever it is! LOL

Hubby had a job interview yesterday, it went ok. They were impressed with how much he can do, but they want someone who does 'exclusively' metal framing work. However, they guys said even though they wanted to hire people prepped and ready to go, he put in a call to a higher up and said he can get him on as a 90 day apprentince and if he passes with flying colors after 90 days they'll send him out on his own. We're going to take yet another HUGE pay hit for him to do this... so I have to work more hours and maybe get a 2nd (3rd) part time job. However, if he gets moved up then they pay is good, and he'll get benefits starting after the 90 days too. So I just need to swallow my pride and stay on the bull for 3 more months. He goes in Monday for the drug test & background check. When they comes back he'll go in for a day to take the safety course they do, then he'll start about a week after that.

I really hope this is the LAST new job I have to deal with for YEARS to come! My mental stability depends on it!

As for me... I'm taking us all out to dinner tonight to have a relaxing BREAK that I really deserve from all the stress. Then I'll spend the weekend preparing all the notes for the gardening class coming on the 25th. Anyone interested in taking the class and meeting other BYC'rs... just PM me and I'll get you the details to come by for a day of fun in the garden just in time for you to get your garden started!

(Yes, we will be snacking a LOT! hahaha)
