Sounds good! I have posted it to Craigslist (both Raliegh and Greensboro) as an event, but I'll post about it in the for sale section a couple days before. try the farm section on craigs list about a week before so people can plan, than relist a day or two before it happens. good luck

This sounds like good advice.

Will craigslist have a problem if I post it in Farms--for sale? I'm used to posting my chicks and chickens in there, but wondered if they'd frown on an event getting listed there. Otoh, there will be birds for sale at the flock swap, so maybe it won't matter.

On a side question, do you guys have any suggestions about dealing with sick or unhealthy birds that are brought to the flock swap? I've been talking to the NPIP guys about getting our flock certified and he suggested that, as the organizer, I ask people who bring birds in really bad shape to leave or set up away from everyone else. Not sure that I'd be okay with asking people to leave, but I could politely request, as people show up, that they set up off to the side if they suspect their birds are sick or know they have cocci in their coop/what have you. What do you guys think? Or, should I just let it run its course?

BHep how many eggs is your scovie sitting on? I have 2 eggs laid by my blue girl sitting in the chicken coop this is her 2nd day to lay there. Don't know if she'll sit on them when she is through though but i marked them just in case.
