The....geese...are...driving..me crazy.

We are tossing around the idea of selling our Toulouse pair. They are beautiful, but when we try to have friends over, they just go crazy the whole time. They are excellent watch geese, honking at all hours of the night anytime something moves. However, they have range of the backyard and my son can't even play in peace. They'd be better with a bigger place or even in a roomy pen that isn't right next to a bedroom window.

Is anyone interested? I'd make a really good price or maybe be open to trades...

They're both just over a year old and love has been in the air, though, I don't think they have mastered the actually good part yet.

Please PM me if interested.

Does anyone one here in Fayetteville know who I would contact about getting my chickens tested for MG? I was told the local NPIP association but I can't find any. I know the agricultural department is in Raleigh, but after calling them they want $30 for the test not to mention the 2 hours it would take to get there and back. I just can't afford that. From what I was told NPIP will come out to me and test for free. I also tried a few local vets and they want anywhere from $70-150 to test.I'm waiting to hear back from the local CoOp if they can find any options. I'm running out of ideas. I've currently started treating with tlyan 50. And am still debating on culling or keeping. my biggest problem is they are all such sweet birds, and I have never culled before. I don't think I could bring myself to do it.:(

I got a call back from the person at the coop and she said that since MG is a reportable disease I will probably have someone come out to my home and test my chickens and quarantine them until testing is back. I'm glad at least I'm getting some results from the varrious departments here. If they do test positive they will be going to contact the guy I got them from. I am going to feel really horrible if he tests positive too. From what I was told he said he had a large flock that he was selling on a regular basis. But I'd rather be though of as a jerk than have other peoples chickens in danger if they buy from him like I did.

How long have you had your babies? Did you get from a flock swap or I guess I should say what side of Fayetteville did you get your birds from? I hope you don't have MG. Let us know how it goes, good luck
