If you get another broody..I can get some eggs to you along with the rooster....if you still want him. I do have some chicks due the 10th.

I do I do I do!!! I already have a place in my heart for him, I am soooooo lonely without a crow in the morning its not even funny.

This next sunday we're going to the zoo because husband promised our DD since September we'd go and we never did. They're talking of giving my husband a raise this week, he'll know on Friday for sure, and he wants to do the zoo thing to celebrate. I am off work tomorrow for a bit... but if you can wait I wanna try to get up to the WCA Either the 6th or the 20th of May. Otherwise, I am happy to meet you somewhere on a Wednesday. One Wed. I wanna go into Raleigh and have lunch with Alex anyways!

Plus, you guys are always welcome over here for lunch sometime with the kids if you ever want to have a day to relax!? Up to you!

On another note.... I have a few blue Muscovy ducks for sale. They are friendly little fluffybutts, if anyone is looking just PM me.

They are the 4 I have circled in the pics below.

I also have 2 Pygmy goats for sale... Both are male... Father & son, actually.
Dad is about a 1 and 1/2 years old. Son is 8 weeks old.

Oh I would so be pming you. Unfortuntely these were two of the things we were after at the WCA this past weekend. We did end up with a pygmy, but DH did not look closely enough and the he is a she, but we put her with our other pygmy girl and they seem to be doing well. We also go some baby ducks.... oh my. I would such much rather have grown ones. They are way to messy, but very cute. We are still looking for 2 baby guineas so we can raise with our baby chicks.

Good morning everyone!!

I hope your day is beginning better than mine!!

I woke up in the middle of the night (non-feeding related) to swollen hands...after a cold rinse, found out that my hands are covered with poison ivy and I don't even know HOW I came in contact with it, as I know where it is on our property and I stay FAR away from it!! Now I am walking around the house with gloves on to keep my kids protected from a possible infection. When you add that on top of the lack of sleep (due to feedings)...I am just miserable...that being said, it is all worth it, as I could not be happier with my expanding family. DH literally asked me on the way home from the hospital, "so (dramatic pause), when do you want to start trying for a third?"

MEN!!

I wonder if I help Beth downsize, if those additions will count towards our "third"....what do you all think?? LOL Thank you for letting me whine/gripe about my poison ivy!! I was just bummed because I honestly thought after all these years, I might have outgrown my allergy or at least had the severity lessened...we will find out in the coming days how bad it gets. I usually end up in the hospital!!

On a positive note, momma and baby are doing well outside. She is doing SUCH a good job and clucks all the time!! We have not introduced her back to the flock yet, I was wanting to wait until baby was a tad bit older...I'm afraid he/she might get hurt. OH MY, I cannot believe I still haven't posted a photo. I will have to get on that!!

Also, the kitten that we got a few weeks back that was in isolation due to an URI is now officially released and DD is LOVING her. We named her Snickers (she looks like a snickers bar) and this kitten has the BEST personality. She PURRED while getting a fecal check!! The vet said we had a special kitten!! Snickers even lets DD carry her around - basically carrying her via a choke hold!! We are working on teaching her to carry her gently, but so far...gently isn't a concept she is picking up on. The most annoying thing...she insists on sleeping on DD in the bassinet!! I am constantly waking up to "toss" her out of the bassinet and tell her NO!! LOL. She was suppose to bond to the OLDEST DD!! Kittens, sheesh!!

Vfem - I am so sorry to hear about your loss!! What is up with this crazy weather anyway?? Give your little sweetie an extra big hug from all of us!! I am sure this is so hard on her!!

Mary - Oh my!! Cuteness overload!! I would SO take your goats...only my property isn't fenced in yet...oh, and I know absolutely NOTHING about goats!! LOL. With a cute face like the two have, you'll find them great homes in no time!!

We were planning on spending the weekend sending Cornish crosses to freezer camp, but hubby has found an old car he wants to look at in Columbia, so he may head off there on Sunday. If he does, I'm going to WCA. We'll see how many we can send to camp on Saturday, although he has to be somewhere at 11:00, so we won't have much time in the morning for dispatching them. If the weather's good and we start early, maybe most, or even all of them! (anyone wanna come help?) I need that pen they're in, plus they're geting so big they can hardly stand up. Time for camp. This batch is younger than the last ones we've done. They've grown faster, feathered better, and been less nasty than earlier batches. They are also the first batch we've gotten from McMurray. I'll continue getting them from there. I like their strain better.

My only Bourbon Red hen was found dead this morning.

I have no idea why. She didn't come for scratch yesterday afternoon, but the turkeys don't always come so I didn't think much of it. She just looked through the fence and went on doing other things. Hubby found her, still warm, this morning. I'll have to watch the other turkeys...and especially the poults. What's up with all the weird deaths this spring? This is my third this year, although the others were chickens, not turkeys.
